Honored. Thankful. Humbled. Grateful.

As I get ready to celebrate my 8-year broadcast debut anniversary on November 1, I have some news to share to end what has been a magical and inconceivable seventh year in my career. Good thing seven is my lucky and favorite number, right?

Today I start my journey as the “Radio Voice of Rice Owls Women’s Basketball”. Such a wild time in not only Houston Sports, but also in women’s basketball and I am thankful and grateful to be a part of the journey.

Truly it is an honor to be even mentioned with this team, university and program in any capacity, let alone in the sport that got my career started in 2016 with Women’s Basketball. Coming back to my hometown of Houston and taking on this role full-time is nothing short of a wild dream come true to continue and enhance what has already been a life-changing 2024 thus far.

I want to thank everyone who has helped get me here to this point in my career. That includes anyone I have been fortunate enough to share a headset with or be mentored by. I would not be in this position without any of you, so thank you.

I also want to thank my family for the support they have given me over the years. At first, it seemed like a crazy idea getting into this business but I would not be here without y’all. Especially with one of my biggest fans – my late grandfather – Edward “Paul” Frazier. You are with me every game I broadcast and this career I do in part for you. Love you, grandpa.

I want to give a few special thanks in particular. First, the Rice Sports Network from Learfield family. Y’all have welcomed me in with open arms from the first game I did back in the spring of 2022 and for that I am forever grateful. J.P., Nate, Jason, Bob, Walter and everyone with the Learfield family – y’all have been huge in my career since getting to meet you and I would not be here without your wisdom, trust and friendship.

I also want to thank Matt Pedersen. A connection I made while still a student at Sam Houston State University back in 2018, but also a friend. I thank you for referring me to J.P. Heath when they needed some extra people to help with radio coverage back in the spring of 2022. Without your advice, mentorship and reference over the years, I do not have the position I have been awarded today. Thank you.

A huge and tremendous thank you has to go to the American Conference Champion Rice Owls Women’s Basketball team. From the coaching, support & training staff to the student managers, to the players and administration (especially the SID extraordinaire in Anthony Roberts and Associate AD for Women’s Basketball Operations Darryln McDonough), thank you for making this 28-year-old Houston born and raised kid with Texas sized dreams jump into this operation in the middle (literally) of last season and disrupt the party a little. Y’all have truly welcomed me in and made me feel like I’m a part of the family. I can not wait for season two to start right around the corner!

Finally, most certainly just as important, to the Rice Owls faithful AND ALL OF H-TOWN!🤘

I take on this role with the full understanding of the prestige that being Radio Voice of Rice Owls Women’s Basketball holds. A role rich with history that includes names such as Lynn Michaels, Lane Zieben, Alex Del Barrio, Gerald Sanchez and most recently Jason Metko, I will always do my best to uphold the standard set before me. Whether it be Game No. 1 or No. 31 of the season and beyond, I promise to give you the best listening experience possible. I look forward to representing the Blue and Gray in this role even more moving forward. As always folks, Rice Fight Never Dies! See you November 4 for a celebration of the ages, Owls Nation! Let’s pack out Tudor!!
